Position OverviewAs a Data Partner, you will play a crucial role in leading data-driven initiatives and fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making within our organisation. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the Data and Evaluation Group (DEG), stream data spokes, and stream data clients, you will drive strategic planning efforts, provide expert guidance, and facilitate effective communication between policy and data domains.
Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing organisational performance and achieving strategic objectives through the effective utilisation of data resources. Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will support senior leadership in strategic planning and championing a culture of innovation. In addition, you may lead a small team and build a collaborative working environment, enhancing the organisation's data capabilities.
The key duties of the position include:Strategic Data Leadership: Lead the development and execution of data strategies aligned with organisational objectives, drive continuous improvement and innovation in data management processes and usage to drive impact and influence.Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels internally and externally, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing opportunities.Risk Management: Ensure that all data practices comply with organisational and government policies, identify, manage, and mitigate data-related risks to safeguard data integrity.Data Analytics and Insights: Identify and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data analysis and interpretation, providing expert guidance and technical expertise to guide project and program activities, translate complex data findings into actionable insights and recommendations for decision-makers, enabling evidence-based decision-making processes.Team Leadership and Capability Building: Manage and develop a small team of data professionals, fostering a high-performance culture, provide mentoring and coaching to build the team's capabilities and support career development.Project and Program Management: Manage data projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery in alignment with organisational objectives, track progress and address any challenges to ensure that goals are met.Please review the job pack for the full position description.
