About the RoleThe Data Modeller Lead (EL1) at the Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) is a full-time, ongoing position available immediately for the right candidate. This role involves performing highly complex tasks under broad direction, requiring the successful candidate to show significant judgement and initiative skills. Data Modeller Leads will analyse vast amounts of data which will inform the business on how to improve our products as well as modelling data to meet business needs. They will exercise a high degree of independence and leadership to perform this role.
This role will be required to: Analyse and translate business requirements into long-term data models.Create data modelling standards and best practices for the Agency.Work with structured and unstructured data sources to develop data models for analytics products.Engage with stakeholders to understand, negotiate, and resolve complex and sensitive issues.Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.Have the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.Gather and interpret information obtained from a variety of sources inside and outside the Agency.Work with and understand existing sophisticated and detailed data models.Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience modelling data in complex data environments.Experience demonstrating high-level investigation skills and data analysis.Demonstrated experience in extracting and manipulating data from large repositories using SQL.Highly organised and innovative thinking with knowledge of digital transformation and an understanding of the APS operating environment.Proven success in stakeholder engagement and experience managing to accomplish objectives.Eligibility Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.ApplicationTo apply for the role, please submit your resume and a cover letter (1 page maximum) addressing the skills and experience requirements above and outlined in the position description.
