Liaise closely with the Information Architect team to ensure delivery is in accordance with the agreed architecture, High Level Solution Designs, and Information Strategy.
Liaise with the Operations teams very early to ensure aspects of quality, performance, and stability are considered before a solution is designed.
Deliver high-quality Data Design in alignment with information and Analytics & BI architecture.
Ensure that the design meets customers' short and long-term Analytics, decisioning, and BI needs.
Provide data design services including:
Conceptual Data ModellingLogical Data ModellingData Vault ModellingDimensional ModellingSemantic Layer DesignETL DesignData Labs ConsiderationsTable and View OptimisationAggregationMaterialisationPerformance ConsiderationsResponsible for developing the Enterprise Data Model in alignment with the Reference Data Model.
Design decisions may include the choice of data modelling techniques, reporting tools or cubes, static delivery vs interactive reports, extracts vs runtime lookups, security methods, and archiving methods.
Provide functional and technical direction for data projects and influence appropriate solution design.
