Looking to lead a team working on implementing a new HCM solution?A Queensland government department is looking for a Data Migration Manager to join their project team.In this role, you will ensure the seamless transfer of data between systems by leading and collaborating with various stakeholders.
You will also develop migration strategies and ensure all migration activities align with organisational goals.Responsibilities:Lead data migration projects, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget, including timelines, resources, and risk management.Oversee the end-to-end ETL process, ensuring data accuracy and consistency in the new system.Develop data migration strategies addressing technical and business requirements, including risk mitigation.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and align with business objectives.Define and implement data quality standards, conducting validation and testing to ensure accuracy and integrity.Resolve data inconsistencies and errors throughout the migration process.Key Skills:5-7+ years of experience in data migration or management, with a successful track record in complex environments.Proficient in data migration tools, ETL processes, database management systems, and knowledgeable in data governance and security.Strong problem-solving skills with extensive experience analysing complex data and managing data migration projects from legacy to modern platforms.Detail-oriented with proven ability to establish data quality controls, ensuring accuracy and consistency using data tools and services.Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP, Azure, CDMP) and familiarity with Agile and SDLC methodologies are advantageous.On offer is a 5 month contract, at $1,197.47 per day inc super OR + GST, based in the Brisbane CBD on a hybrid work arrangement.If you wish to apply for this position, please submit your resume by clicking the 'Apply Now' button.
