We are currently looking for a Data Integration Developer (Boomi & Oracle) to join our Information Management team.
About the role The Data Integration Developer is dedicated to designing and implementing data integration and movement solutions across systems, with a strong focus on ensuring data accuracy through quality assurance testing. In this role, you will be developing and maintaining the Society's data integration platforms, particularly Boomi, while also contributing to the support of the data platform on Azure. You will support and enhance the existing regulatory platform on Oracle and lead the migration from Oracle BPM to Boomi.
You will also play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing seamless data integration solutions that enhance efficiency and drive innovation within the organisation, and in advancing the Society's digital transformation initiatives.
What you'll be doing Boomi Integration and Flow developmentDesign, develop, and manage end-to-end Boomi integration processes and flowsBuild efficient workflows to connect diverse systems, ensuring seamless data exchangeTroubleshoot, enhance, and optimize existing Boomi flows for performance and reliabilityOracle Database expertiseDevelop, test, and maintain complex PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggersOptimize Oracle database performance, ensuring data integrity and scalabilityCollaborate with teams to design efficient database schemas and streamline workflowsDefine the Data and Data Integration strategyFocus on business decision automation through quality informationDevelop a single source of information truth for all business usersAdminister and apply data-fixes to both internally and externally developed business-critical systemsTroubleshoot and correct issues on various application databases such as Oracle and Azure SQLIdentify potential faults within the Data Integrations and Data Warehouse and take a proactive approach to address the issuePro-actively engage with various business stakeholders to encourage adoption and automation using the Information Management servicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse business requirements and deliver integrated solutionsProvide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers and team membersDocument system processes, configurations, and best practicesEnsure clear processes are in place for new request managementCollaborate with cross-functional teams with the maintenance of our Azure Data & Integration platformReport on task/project progress to managerFocus on improving/maintaining the perception of IT within the businessProvide training to staff (both internally and externally) on IT IM ServicesEnsure all policies, procedures, and processes are followed at all timesMaintain all documentation for continual use and ease of new staff joining the teamAny other reasonable tasks/requests as directed by IT ManagementSupport a collaborative and progressive team environmentStandardise and highlight improvements to servicesProvide and maintain troubleshooting support and knowledge sharing across ITAbout you 3+ years of hands-on experience with Boomi integration and flow development3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and database managementFamiliarity or hands-on experience with Azure data services or a strong willingness to learn3+ years designing and developing Data Integration and Data Warehouse solutions including ETL design and data modelling5+ years providing support to both internally and externally developed business-critical production1+ years of Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Logic Apps, Power Automate, Databricks1+ years of Dev-Ops processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as code fundamentals1+ years of experience with Visual Studio, PowerShell Scripting, and ARM templatesSolid understanding of data integration and ETL/ELT processesProficient in Oracle database optimization techniquesStrong data analysis, discovery, and problem-solving skillsFundamental Azure SQL and Oracle SQL database administration skillsUnderstanding of various Datawarehouse methodologies such as Data Vault and KimballPrevious experience with architect standards for data integrationsPrevious experience with development on data warehouses and data marts using dimensional modellingPreferred Qualifications Certifications in Boomi, Oracle Database, or Azure technologiesExperience with big data solutions, real-time data streaming, or machine learning pipelinesTertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Computing Science, or similarPersonal attributes Strong time management skills and attention to detailAbility to focus on end user needs and to champion them within the IT TeamExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, delivering a high level of customer service.Can do' attitude with the willingness to further develop skills.To apply The Law Society of New South Wales is committed to building and maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace, appointing the best person for the role and supporting diversity.
