Containers for Change, Queensland's container refund scheme, is seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist for a strategic role developing and overseeing processes, policies and frameworks for effective data management across the business.

The Data Governance Specialist role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to:
Develop and implement comprehensive data management strategies across the enterprise; Drive transformative data governance initiatives; and Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a vibrant work environment. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Establish and operate an enterprise-wide data management strategy, including data governance, data quality, metadata management and data security; Oversee the development and maintenance of a data quality programme, ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency of data assets; Define and manage metadata standards and processes to facilitate data documentation and accessibility; Develop and implement data security policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance; Drive capability and data maturity uplift through effective communication and training; and Coordinate resolution of compliance-related data incidents and implementation of controls. In addition to alignment with COEX's values, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following:
Experience in data governance, data management, or related fields; In-depth understanding of data governance principles, practices and methodologies; Strong knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance requirements; and Experience in implementing data governance frameworks, policies and standards.
