Based in the Melbourne CBD, you will be responsible for providing leadership and subject matter expertise in Data Management, Data Governance, Privacy, and Data Risk disciplines.Responsibilities:Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in Data Management, Data Governance, Privacy, and Data Risk.Lead team responsible for implementing Data Governance Framework and Data Safety Program across divisions.Foster a strong data safety culture within the organisation.Advise senior leaders on data-related issues through various forums and one-on-one interactions.Engage with large audiences and deliver presentations to communicate complex data clearly.Lead risk management activities, identifying key risk areas and emerging issues relevant to the organisation's risk posture.Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory expectations, and best practices.Understand how technology organisations operate and manage architectural/technology change processes.Experience Required:10+ years proven experience in data leadership roles.Proven experience in engaging senior stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to visualise and communicate complex data clearly and concisely.Understanding of Data Governance processes and/or routines.Knowledge of records management principles and best practices of the record management lifecycle.Personal or commercial insurance knowledge and experience.Sound understanding of data architecture and lineage.Sound understanding of IT infrastructure and applications.Understanding of basic risk management principles.Experience in large complex operating and technology environments.This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the office and 2 days WFH.
