Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation of the Data Governance program and drive the execution of the Data Strategy across stakeholders. Develop and oversee a comprehensive enterprise data governance and master data implementation roadmap, prioritizing strategic initiatives for enhancing information-based capabilities and building a compelling business case. Deploy an enterprise-wide data governance framework aimed at enhancing data quality through adjustments in organizational behaviour, policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, relevant tools, and data architecture. Define roles and responsibilities pertaining to data governance, ensuring clear accountability for the management of the company's critical information assets. Establish and maintain an inventory of enterprise information maps, identifying authoritative systems, owners, key repositories of information, and a system of record for crucial data. Facilitate the establishment and enforcement of data quality standards, as well as privacy and security standards, and drive adoption requirements across the organization. Define performance indicators and quality metrics; ensure adherence to data-related policies, standards, roles, responsibilities, and adoption requirements. Coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and optimize related expenses. Collaborate with leadership to identify data domains, domain leads, owners, and stewards, supporting the development and delivery of effective governance training. Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of experience in Governance, including at least 2 years within a Data Office or similar data-related programs. Proven proficiency in data governance activities and best practices. Strong influencing skills at a senior level and across an organization, capable of engaging effectively. Experience in establishing and managing information or data governance processes and procedures across multiple divisions within a company. Familiarity with reference data, master data, data modelling, data analytics, metadata, glossary, and data lineage. Knowledge of data quality methodologies, storage repositories, and tools across various industries. Demonstrated ability to promote adoption of data governance best practices through governance councils and committees within organizational divisions. Experience collaborating with leadership at all levels to define and implement data quality rules, definitions, and strategies. Familiarity with major MDM and data quality technology vendors and third-party implementors, including cost and feature comparison to provide informed recommendations.
