Data Governance Consultant Sestra People have partnered with a growing consultancy providing Governance & Strategy uplift to organisations looking to improve their data quality and integrity by strategically aligning people, processes and products. This role will be technical, for a seasoned specialist with commercial Data Governance experience and experience designing and delivering data strategy, with a view to grow a 'data governance culture' and improve awareness.
There are multiple opportunities available on a Fixed Term or Full Time, Permanent positions depending on experience and fit. This role is Mid to Senior, management experience is not required but there is a roadmap to grow into a leadership position. Demonstrated commercial experience is a must, so unfortunately this role is not suited to Junior analysts.
What You'll Be Doing: Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks using tools like Purview (preferred), Collibra, Attacama or Alation to align with organisational objectives and compliance requirements.Define and enforce data policies, standards, and processes to ensure high-quality, compliant data management.Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.Leading the implementation of Purview for data discovery, cataloging, and lineage mapping.Developing and delivering reports to stakeholders on DG health, compliance status and areas for remediation.Identifying and mitigating risks by implementing controls.What You'll Need: Experience establishing and maintaining an enterprise data catalog to centralise metadata management.Experience working with insights and reporting features to monitor KPI's and compliance metrics.Ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders from senior managers to data consumers, with a focus on developing and growing a 'data governance culture' across an organisation.Strategic, Analytical Mindset - You will have the confidence to make strategic decisions, and have a practical approach to Data Governance.
