Our client is seeking a passionate Data Engineering Lead to take charge of their data team, steering the evolution of their data platform in AWS as they embark on an ambitious digital transformation journey.

Innovation: Lead the charge on modernizing data processes and ensuring cutting-edge solutions for data needs. Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, IT, and cross-functional teams, offering expert guidance and delivering robust, scalable, and secure data systems. Key Responsibilities Work with IT leaders, business leaders, and developers to ensure the data platform functions as a robust, scalable, and secure service, prioritizing reusability and maintainability. Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, cultivating a collaborative and innovative work culture. Focus on consolidating data in AWS, building a strong foundation for future initiatives, including real-time analysis of medical data and potential machine learning applications to identify and support high-risk cases. Balance a 50/50 mix of high-level design and hands-on implementation, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, relationship management, and delivering high-quality, impactful data solutions. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all systems. About You You are a seasoned data professional who thrives in a fast-paced, transformational environment.
You bring strategic thinking and hands-on expertise, with a commitment to delivering scalable data solutions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Expertise in AWS services such as Lake Formation, Amazon MWAA, and RDS. Strong experience in data ingestion (RDBMS, flat files, APIs) using CDC and streaming technologies. Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines with AWS Glue, Kinesis, and Lambda. A strategic, problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills. Why Join This Team?
