Full time Position Overview: Services Australia (the agency) seeks Data Engineers and Technical Information & Knowledge Officers who design and implement complex data flows to connect operational systems and data for analytics and business intelligence systems, whilst ensuring data security and governance.
They play an important role in resolving and managing issues that impact performance and/or service.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage key strategic relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure business outcomes.Exercise a considerable degree of independence and undertake a leadership role under the general guidance of senior staff.Drive innovation and changes in workplace practices, organizing work in the context of competing priorities and strategic direction.Be responsible for key strategic projects or functions and provide strategic advice based on extensive analysis of data and information.Collect and examine information, contributing to the work area's reports, findings, decision-making, or recommendations using an evidence-based approach.Implement solutions to complex matters and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policy, and frameworks.Identify and implement best-practice approaches to data and analytics, engaging in continuous improvement.Lead individual projects and guide programs of work, demonstrating leadership skills and excellent technical skills.Build 'big data' technology solutions to support the analytical requirements and optimal performance of the agency's data ecosystem, including data ingestion methods and ETL pipeline design.Technical Information & Knowledge Management Officer Responsibilities: Lead individual projects and guide programs of work, demonstrating leadership skills and excellent technical skills.Develop and/or manage ETL programs using SAS/SQL that transform and organize complex data according to agency needs.Create data models and business rules as needed to support strategic objectives.Develop operational objectives and business rules by analyzing business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements.About Us: We touch the lives of almost every Australian.
