Our people enable us to make a difference and deliver exceptional experiences to help our customers achieve financial freedom.Your TeamThe Investment Data Analyst is part of the build out of the Investment Risk and Analytics team, which is a specialised team within the broader CFS Investments team. CFS Investments is responsible for setting the investment strategy and portfolio positioning for CFS. This includes managing our market-leading and award-winning investment options, including multi-sector portfolios offering different active risk profiles and multi-manager single sector portfolios. The team also manages the investment relationships and investment management agreements with a broad range of local and international investment management partners.Your ResponsibilitiesPlan, build out and maintain the technology, systems and tools that underpin the investment data and analytics capabilities, including database, automation and visualisation.Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data through comprehensive data cleaning and validation.Work with the diverse data sources available to the investment team, including risk, liquidity, ESG & climate, holdings, performance, economic & markets and peer data.Stay updated on industry best practices and evolving data analytics techniques to enhance the effectiveness of data analysis and management.Your Capability and ExperienceThis is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career for those who have a passion for markets, finance and portfolio management. The successful candidate will have:Advanced mathematical and numeracy skills.Proficiency in coding languages (ideally Python) and data visualisation (e.g. Tableau).Understanding of databases (e.g. SQL) is advantageous.Inquisitive, lateral thinker with a desire to challenge ideas and devise creative solutions.Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence key stakeholders and communicate effectively.Tertiary qualifications with an emphasis on analytical training.Understanding of investment markets and financial data across multiple asset classes would be advantageous.What to ExpectAt CFS, you'll be working among the very best in the wealth management industry.
