About the role: As a data engineer in the Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for building and managing data pipelines to ingest data from our CRM, revenue systems, and a large number of external data sources to power timely reporting and machine learning models as well as developing integrations to embed AI models into production systems. You will have the opportunity to shape the foundations of data and ML frameworks at LMG to deliver data-driven decisions and AI solutions at scale to our customers. You will be working alongside talented data engineers, data scientists, and analysts in a collaborative team environment to deliver innovative solutions.
This is a hybrid role (2 days in the office per week) that can be done from Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing data from database, API, and file-based sources for batch and streaming data.Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for data quality, pipeline health, and performance metrics.Manage the DevOps processes for the Data and Analytics team to enable the delivery of data and AI solutions efficiently and safely.Build and maintain machine learning model pipelines for predictive and generative AI models.Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions.Troubleshoot pipeline-related issues and provide technical support to ensure process reliability and integrity.To succeed in this role you will bring with you:Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in engineering, technology, or quantitative discipline.3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering with a sound knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques in cloud environments.Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and SQL.Experience in GitHub DevOps practices.Problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.Good communication skills with the ability to present findings and technical solutions to diverse audiences.Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and its services (BigQuery, Vertex AI, etc.), and dbt is a plus.Benefits: 6 'Me' days per year - days on top of your annual leave allowance to look after number 1, you!16 weeks paid parental leave & up to 52 weeks paid superannuation.Paid Fertility Treatment leave.12 days personal leave.Paid Study leave - let us help you develop your career by supporting your studies.Hybrid working - flex the working week in a way that suits you.Internal L&D programs - boost your skills and help carve your career path.Religious and cultural swap leave - swap a public holiday for a day you prefer to celebrate.Option to purchase additional annual leave - sometimes you need some extra time and we want to give you that choice.LMGPerks - Save thousands of dollars and grab huge discounts with the biggest brands.Paid volunteer day - take a paid day away from work to support a cause close to you.Employee referral program - we love it when our people refer their people!Wellbeing support - EAP to support you personally including financial and career advice.LMG high performers join our Accelerate program - we invest in your career and personal development.At LMG, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workforce is essential to our success.
