ABOUT THE ROLE
The Data Engineer is tasked with designing and optimising the database to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and management.
RFQ role
Minimum of NV1 Clearance
Sydney-based
Responsibilities include:
Schema Design: Design the database schema to support application requirements. This involves creating tables, relationships, indexes, and optimising the database structure for performance.
Optimisation: Ensure data integrity and optimise the database for performance. This includes writing efficient queries, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring the database can handle large volumes of data.
Key Expectations & Accountabilities
Expectations:
Design database schemas, tables, relationships, and indexes.
Optimise database performance for large volumes of data.
Ensure data integrity and security.
Collaborate with the Application Developer to integrate the database with the web application.
Perform regular database maintenance and tuning.
Accountabilities:
Delivering a well-designed and optimised database schema.
Ensuring data integrity and performance.
Providing thorough documentation of the database design.
Collaborating effectively with the development team.
Maintaining database security and compliance.
