About the Opportunity:Are you an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in enterprise-wide digital transformation projects? Fortescue is embarking on a significant initiative to standardise Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes across the organisation, transitioning from a legacy system (BMS) to a centralised platform that will serve as a single source of truth. You will play a crucial role in supporting this digital transformation project, working closely with the HSEC Digital Transformation team to streamline data processes and enhance system reliability. The initial contract will be for 12 months, with potential for extension as the project evolves.About You:We are seeking a Data Engineer with significant experience in technology projects, particularly those involving HSE technology platforms. You should possess technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python. Advanced SQL skills are essential for querying and manipulating data, and experience with database design and optimisation is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial, as you'll collaborate with various stakeholder groups across geographies.
