DescriptionSummary: Reporting to the Head of Professional Services our Data Engineers are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our customers data-driven initiatives. Our Data Engineers collaborate closely with OneStep team members, customer teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements, implement data solutions, and ensure the integrity and reliability of data systems.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to collect, process, and distribute data from various sources.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Implement efficient and scalable ETL processes to cleanse, transform, and load data into data warehouses or data lakes.Develop and optimize data models to support analytical and reporting needs.Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and monitoring processes.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipeline performance, data consistency, and data quality.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and recommend innovative solutions to improve data infrastructure and processes.Document technical designs, procedures, and guidelines to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.All other duties as required.Qualifications: Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a track record of designing and implementing enterprise grade data solutions.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages for building data pipelines and applications.Strong understanding of data modelling principles and project experience with either Databricks or Snowflake.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar frameworks.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.Role TypeCompany OverviewEs2 is a OneStep Group company works with leading global companies and Federal Government clients to deliver the best in information and communications technology solutions.
