Job description: The role is responsible for managing, optimizing and monitoring data retrieval processes, storage, and distribution in on-premises - and cloud-based environments, to contribute towards high-quality data migration & transformation processes, and Business Intelligence (BI) products.

Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties Analyse and assess current and target-state data models and data quality.
Work with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand data migration and reporting requirements.
Design and develop data extract, transformation and load processes (CI/CD) for data conversion and/or business analysis purposes.
Develop BI technical architecture, data warehouse and reporting data models.
Participate in the resolution of defects, requirement gaps and data quality issues, through analysis, complex querying and report development.
Document designs and code for the project team and ongoing support.
Maintain a high level of code quality and strict source code control.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with technical specialists and business SMEs.
Provide support, guidance and quality oversight for junior team members and/or contractors as required.
Develop work plan and manage own activities and report on progress to the Program management group.

Desirable Requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Experience using some or all of the following software/tools: Azure products, such as Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, and SQL Database SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, Power BI, Excel In general experience working with Microsoft and/or Amazon cloud data services (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS).
Microsoft Access Lotus Notes/Domino (legacy) Experience in developing high-performing data migration processes.
Working knowledge/experience in Agile development practices.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience developing Business Intelligence data structures such as Star schemas and OLAP data cubes and developing "many-to-one" data conversion and integration processes from multiple data sets into a single target data set.
Knowledge of Justice related business processes.
