Data Engineer

12 + 12 + 12 month contract, Canberra BartonBaseline to TSPV Security clearances requiredSFIA Level of Responsibility 4-5 or equivalentOur client, a top tier and well funded Federal Government entity focused on Intelligence, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Data Branch.
Responsibilities: Develop data models, manage and optimise the flow of data within the platform.Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and architecture necessary for collecting, storing, and analysing data.Ensure that data is discoverable, accessible, reliable, and actionable through the provision of expert knowledge, insights, quality outputs, and education/demonstrations.Experience: Demonstrable knowledge of best practice for acquiring and managing structured and unstructured data assets utilising streaming and batch process data flow.Extensive experience of Python for data management and scaling in production applications.Knowledge of current practices in API design, Version Control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) practices.Experience working within AWS cloud environments is highly desirable.To apply for this interesting and long Data Engineer contract opportunity, please apply or call Matt on .
