Data Engineer

Allara Street, Canberra - 2 days WFH Active NV1 Security Clearance required 12+12+12 month Federal Government contract Our client, a Federal Government agency who promotes and protects Australia's international interests to support our security and prosperity, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their team.
Duties/skills: Assist with performance and capacity management of SQL server systems; Provide technical advice as required for the departments SOE; In conjunction with managers, prioritise, analyse, and complete tasks according to the nature and urgency of requests; Ensure that tasks and progressive action history are duly recorded and concluded to the client's satisfaction; Criteria: Demonstrated experience designing and developing data load processes in Microsoft Fabric, Synapse or Data Factory .
Demonstrated experience with a wide range of data sources/formats including REST APIs, Excel, JSON, Parquet and Delta.
Demonstrated experience with DevOps processes and tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
Strong SQL/T-SQL programming skills.
