About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join a data and analytics team within a prominent government agency. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful projects, transforming data into actionable insights that drive impactful decision-making and policy creation.
The position requires an applicant who has: Demonstrated technical data engineering skills and a methodical approach to engineering data from source to sink for the purpose of downstream reporting, with experience in integrating and modelling complex and diverse data sets for use by data analysts and business units.Experience in the planning, designing and implementing large scale data loading, manipulation, processing, analysis and exploration solutions (preferable in a Fabric / Microsoft platform environment).Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills to recommend innovative approaches to data management, ensuring accurate and timely outputs.Demonstrated understanding of data modelling and master data management principles and processes.Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain positive relationships and consult, negotiate, liaise and influence others to achieve mutually beneficial solutions and provide advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.Desirable Skills: Experience in the public sector or with data solutions supporting workforce, economic, or training initiatives.Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and a good understanding of data architecture principles.Job number: 267664
