What you'll be doingAs a Data Engineer at Virgin Australia, you will have an exciting role, where you have the ability to utilise your 'Data Lakehouse' (ideally Databricks) knowledge, and collaborate with a team of experts! You will be responsible for ingesting data into our modern data platform, assembling large, complex datasets and providing frameworks and services for operating on that data, enabling the business to deliver on reporting, dashboarding, marketing and advanced analytics initiatives.
This role will be reporting to the Data Platform Lead, working within a diverse team of Data Engineers, supported by data analysts and a Data Platform Architect.
The team is located in our beautiful Brisbane office, with stunning views of the Brisbane River and city. We offer a hybrid, flexible work arrangement. Please note, this role cannot be performed remotely. However, we will consider Melbourne based candidates, as we do have some other team members there.
