As a Data Engineer, this role provides technology leadership and manages the development, maintenance, and quality of data systems for the Public Transport Authority (PTA). Key responsibilities include guiding teams in gathering user requirements, developing standard practices, and enhancing data systems. The role also focuses on aligning system designs with business needs, sharing knowledge within the team, and ensuring complete documentation of systems.
Additionally, the Data Engineer contributes to service delivery and project support by promoting IT Service Management practices, meeting service level agreements, and collaborating with stakeholders. The role involves providing technical expertise on projects, supporting business case development, and ensuring continuity plans are effective.
About You! To excel in this role, you should possess:
Progress toward or possession of an IT-related qualification, with experience in data modelling, ETL processes, and data management techniques. Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes, and experience in configuring and supporting data systems. Well-developed communication skills with the ability to build rapport and work in customer-focused support teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
