Data Engineer Contract

12 + 12 + 12 month contract, Canberra Barton Baseline to TSPV Security clearances required SFIA Level of Responsibility 4-5 or equivalent Our client, a top tier and well funded Federal Government entity focused on Intelligence is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Data Branch.
Responsibilities: develop data models, manage and optimise the flow of data within the platform design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and architecture necessary for collecting, storing, and analysing data ensure that data is discoverable, accessible, reliable, and actionable through the provision of expert knowledge, insights, quality outputs and education/demonstrations Experience: demonstrable knowledge of best practice for acquiring and managing structured and unstructured data assets utilising streaming and batch process data flow extensive experience of Python for data management and scaling in production applications knowledge of current practices in API design, Version Control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) practices experience working within AWS cloud environments is highly desirable To apply for this interesting and long Data Engineer contract opportunity please apply or call Matt on (02) 6299 1006.
