We look forward to discussing your interest and suitability for this role upon our return.About The TeamAs a member of the Climate Resilience Solutions team, you will play a pivotal role in our organisation. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and interpret data from various sources, including the atmosphere, oceans, and land. Your work will contribute to the development of our climate data products, computer models, and analytical frameworks that support informed decision-making and drive climate resilience across industries.Key AccountabilitiesDesign and deploy geospatial solutions on cloud platforms.Utilise Snowflake for data warehousing and geospatial databases management.Manage data workflows and storage solutions within cloud environments.Design and deploy data models.Develop scripts and automation tools using Python.Perform spatial analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions.Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.Skills and ExperienceStrong proficiency using programming languages (SQL, Python).Proven experience with data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake) and data transformation (dbt) solutions.Experience with cloud platforms and environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) is desirable.Solid understanding of geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefile, GeoPackage) and spatial databases (PostgreSQL / PostGIS, Esri Geodatabase).Knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS).Key AttributesStrong creative problem-solving skills and can-do approach to work.Balanced outlook seeking practical success balancing good outcomes and pursuit of excellence.Positive attitude and personable approach to collaboration.Ability to communicate effectively to both business and technology stakeholders.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail.Excellent time management skills.A career at PEXA starts with you!If you think you have the required skills, an appetite to learn and would be a great fit, we'd love to hear from you – even if you don't tick all the boxes.
