About the roleThe Data Enablement Analyst is responsible for supporting the Data Enablement Leader to establish and maintain robust data governance and data quality practices across the organisation. The Data Enablement Analyst will work to develop standards and controls to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance and to champion best-practice data management across the organisation.
The main responsibilities include:
Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and subject matter experts to establish and uphold Data Governance policies, processes, and controls.Support Data Owners and Data Stewards on their data governance journey, ensuring metadata and lineage are complete, up-to-date, and easily accessible.Assist with compliance activities such as data protection, data privacy and records risk management.Assist with the development, review and implementation of a data quality program of work, including profiling of existing data assets, defining data quality rules and standards reporting.Support the business to develop and implement systems and process improvements that will prevent reoccurrence of data quality issues and minimise the occurrence of new issues going forward.Contribute to the development and enhancement of guidelines and best practices that ensure the ethical and responsible application of AI technologies.Monitor AI initiatives to ensure compliance with governance policies and regulations.Foster safety and trust through agile governance. Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage agile methodologies and enhance data governance processes.Qualifications we would love to see in our next Data Enablement AnalystTertiary qualifications in business, finance, information management or similar discipline.At least 3 years of experience in a data quality, data governance, or business analysis role.Experience with metadata and data quality tools (Informatica Data Management Cloud preferred).Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.Some experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL) and/or data visualisation tools (Power BI preferred).Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.A natural ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge of agile practices.Able to work independently yet collaboratively, and always as part of a team.Detail and quality-oriented.Strong time management and organisational skills.At Helia, we are building a team focused on opportunities: creating brighter futures for our people.
