Data Center Security Specialist, DC Security - NTEAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist to join our expanding Non-Traditional Environments Control Center team. The Data Center Security Specialist role may encompass oversight of contract employee deliverables and collaboration with NTE Edge Security Managers in order to devise security strategies, achieve financial targets, and to improve the overall operational security within our Data Centers. They will report to the NTE Security Ops Regional Mgr.
This position will be based in a control room environment and following a shift rotation schedule (7am - 7pm).
Key job responsibilitiesInterface with and assist in mobilizing vendors involved in system repairsProvide access control management support to internal and external customersObserve and report physical security system anomaliesObserve and report security incidents and policy breachesCoordinate the activities of a professional contract guard forceOversee individual security vendor deliverables, track service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as neededFoster working relationships to educate Edge/NTE stakeholders on false alarm reductionsExtract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing dataVerify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standardsDevelop strategies for improving electronic surveillance and access controlsDraft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operationsCollaborate with security managers in writing and implementing security processes and proceduresServe as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain uncompromising security standardsAbout the teamHere at AWS, we embrace our differences.
