Project descriptionWe are collaborating with a leading Australian company on a series of high-impact data transformation projects. Our objective is to build a robust offshore team to support and drive these initiatives forward. We are seeking a skilled Data Architect with significant experience in Snowflake and/or Databricks (or equivalent data platforms) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable data architectures to support advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects while expanding our offshore capabilities in a dynamic environment.Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable and high-performance data architectures using Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent platforms.- Develop data models and schemas to support business requirements and analytics needs.- Oversee the integration of data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.- Provide guidance and support for data governance, including data security, privacy, and compliance.- Optimize data processing and storage solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.- Monitor and troubleshoot data architecture issues, ensuring reliable data access and availability.- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and tools to improve data architecture and management practices.- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other team members to ensure seamless data flow and utilization.
SKILLSMust have- 7+ experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent data platforms.- Strong expertise in designing and implementing data architectures and data models.- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing.- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices.- Proven ability to optimize data storage and processing for performance and cost-efficiency.- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to have- Experience with other cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.- Knowledge of data modeling tools and methodologies.- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.- Experience with machine learning or advanced analytics platforms.- Relevant certifications in Snowflake, Databricks, or other data management technologies.- Understanding of big data technologies and distributed computing.
