Full Time Permanent OpportunityThe Data Architect will play a key role defining and evolving the organisation's data architecture and strategy, establishing data principles, and ensuring practices align with enterprise-wide goals and support innovation.
They will prepare the organisation for the adoption of modern data architectures such as lakehouses to support advanced analytics and real-time data services while ensuring scalability and flexibility.Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, this role ensures that the organisation's data ecosystem aligns with enterprise-wide standards, business objectives, and technological advancements.
The Data Architect will be responsible for creating and maintaining data reference architectures, establishing data principles, driving the adoption of a robust data governance framework across the organisation, and ensuring that products, technologies, and solutions meet organisational requirements for scalability, performance, and security.The successful candidate will be a bridge between our technical teams and business stakeholders, fostering collaboration to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions while contributing to the broader Enterprise Architecture practice.
What are we looking for?At least 5 years of experience as a Data Architect in complex enterprise environments.Proficient in designing data reference architectures and defining data principles.Demonstrated experience in data modelling, database design, and integration patterns.Experience with modern data platforms, cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and architectures (e.g., data lakes, data mesh).Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, security, and compliance requirements.Proven ability to align products and technologies with enterprise data strategies.Proven experience in designing data warehouse and data mart solutions supporting cross-functional data integration.Expertise in building real-time streaming architectures and API-driven data services in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Demonstrated ability to create modular, scalable, and future-ready data architectures that adapt to new products and multi-location operations.Experience in designing and implementing lakehouse architectures using platforms like Databricks or similar tools.Strong understanding of modern data platform paradigms, including data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses, and their respective use cases.Familiarity with Data Lake, Apache Spark, or other technologies that underpin lakehouse implementations.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.Certification in TOGAF, DAMA, or equivalent frameworks.Our Promise to Our PeopleWe are passionate about our core values of Customer First, We Care, One Team, and Results Driven, which define how we approach our work.
