Data Architect

to provide architectural expertise for the provision and support of underlying applications that support our Governments clients critical services. This includes performing ongoing maintenance to ensure vendor support and stability, providing incident investigation and performance analysis, advanced monitoring solutions and data and analytical reporting capabilities for senior executive committee and other federal agencies. To be successful in this role you will utilise your proven experience in understanding the data framework and data pipelines gained from a large-scale organisation.Please note a minimum NV1 security clearance is required for this role therefore we can only consider Australian citizens with an AGSVA clearance.About youResponsibilities and Accountabilities:Work with our clients enterprise architects to develop and modify enterprise architecture, providing consultancy and advice to stakeholders when gathering business requirements to provide input into systems replacement and future solution projects.Work collaboratively to redesign and establish data governance processes, tools and artefacts which align with the organisations enterprise architecture.Provide expertise in the development and maintenance of a big data platforms including Data Visualisation products.Provide expert advice on data architecture and management best practices for implementation within the organisation.Lead the overall technical solution design of big data Platforms to support business capabilities.Provide expertise in designing services for data quality including cleansing, standardisation, enrichment and matching.Provide technical expertise in configuring systems for high availability, automated fail over and disaster recovery.Integrate industry tested methodologies for optimising and streamlining data processing best practices.Create and update various documentation such as: Technical specifications, technical designs and matrices, Architectural documents, System design specifications, Work flows, events, and sequence diagrams, UML (Universal Mark-Up Language) charts.Support the Section Director with advice and expertise to in relation to the data platforms to support the system owners and applications to develop the SAs data strategy and roadmap.Requirements:NV1 Security Clearance5 years previous experience working in a data warehousing environment ideally from the Government sector.Extensive leadership experience in establishing data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses and related infrastructure, by aligning relevant architecture(s) and broader business operations and strategic goals.Proficiency in data modelling, database design, and ETL processes.Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience, particularly with senior executive and leaders.Demonstrated ability to stay current with and use emerging data technologies, including artificial intelligence.Excellent leadership, engagement, and communication skills.Knowledge of IT Security principles and practices.Experienced or conversant in emerging tools like columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data.Lakehouse Architecture or similar model: Data Ingestion Data Fabric Data Mining Data Transformation Data Mart Data Streaming Data Warehousing.A degree in a relevant discipline, such as Information Technology or data science is highly desirable.Knowledge of Australian Government Data policies and procedures is desirable.Why Fujitsu?We are an organization with a strong set of values and a history of respecting fairness and equality, whilst promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
