About the RoleAs a Data Analytics Lead, you'll play a key role in helping to drive our climate initiatives, passionately leveraging data to derive business value and support our sustainability goals.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep enthusiasm for building impactful and data-driven solutions, and will drive the build and usage of the new ESG data platform, a new node on the ANZ data mesh, leading a team of data specialists to deliver high quality data that drives business value.

What will your day look like?Your key responsibilities will include:
Data Strategy and Governance - Support the execution of the ESG data strategy to achieve the Climate Program's objectives, and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all deliverables.Data Collection and Analysis - Oversee the identification and analysis of data requirements, including both internal and external data. Also support the Data Acquisition squad in building solutions to deliver the data requirements.Data Transformation and Publication – Assist with the implementation of necessary data transformations and derivations to provide outputs to the multiple users of the ESG Data Platform, collaborating with the Data Production squad.Data Analytics - Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive decision-making.Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.Stakeholder Engagement - Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights. Communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Reporting and Visualization - Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track the progress of the program data initiatives. Present data insights to senior leadership and other departments to inform strategic decisions.Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to climate data and reporting. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in climate data analytics.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Proven experience in a data analytics leadership role, preferably within the financial services or environmental sector.Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Practical knowledge of data modeling.Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills; and the ability to build relationships.Strong delivery skills and experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage time & priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment, with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple deliverables, determine the best sequencing to maximize outcomes and deliver to committed deadlines.Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to focus on delivery priorities and maintain delivery momentum.Knowledge of Climate/ESG and associated frameworks.Financial/risk reporting experience.Regulatory Reporting experience.Experience in change management.Practical knowledge of Agile methodology.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
