Making a difference in the life of young Australians through supporting their education Deliver data and insights to inform program policy, practice and implementation Full time opportunity | Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide location (Flexible working arrangements / WFH) The Smith Family is a children's education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.  We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Program Analytics and Reporting Team where you will play a vital role in supporting the monitoring, review and delivery of programs that have a long-lasting impact on children and families. This is a hands-on role, open to early career or experienced data analysts that can demonstrate required skills and experience. You'll become part of a small, collaborative and highly productive team where your analysis and expertise will make a difference every day. About our role You will be responsible for:   Collaborating with stakeholders to understand and translate their data and reporting needs into solutions. Creating dashboards and reports that turn data into useful and actionable insights that inform decision making. Collecting, cleansing, interpreting and analysing data to find answers to specific business questions. Consolidating key data for inclusion in The Smith Family's Annual Impact Report or program outcome reports. Supporting data related queries and guiding effective data practices and data driven decision making. Developing resources that improve business processes around using and recording data.   About you As well as passion for the community, you will bring the following:   Tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience. Data extraction and analysis skills using SQL on relational datasets. Experience in Power BI or any data visualisation tool and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas and pivot tables). Excellent analytical and communication skills for synthesising and summarising data Curiosity, strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
