The Directorate of Portfolio Performance Measurement (DPPM) requires analysis to be undertaken to develop visualisations that represent the status of capability delivery, portfolio performance, and a report highlighting insights on capability delivery based on the analysis of capability delivery data. The report will advise how existing capability delivery data can help Defence understand if projects and programs are on track to deliver the right capability effect and support reprioritization of the IIP when our strategic circumstances change.
DPPM is seeking the following deliverables:
Multiple Visualisations
– using PowerBI or other available business intelligence tools, create dashboards displaying capability delivery portfolio health, including displaying the approval status of projects. This will include leveraging existing Defence data platforms to enable complex analysis and predictive modelling on capability delivery data. The first set of visualisations is to be provided within 20 business days of contract commencement.
Report
– This report will:
Detail how capability delivery data from multiple sources within Defence can be used to assess the health status of the IIP and continually track projects;
Explain how the multiple visualisations developed can support capability analysts in undertaking portfolio analysis;
Describe measurement and reporting of key IIP statistics;
Detail the analysis of capability delivery data to provide comprehensive insights on trends and observations that describe the health of the portfolio through multiple lenses.
Progress Reports
– Weekly progress reports on work done as part of this work-package delivered to the Contract Manager or their nominated representative.
Repeatable and Scalable
– The work delivered must be scalable to address future requirements.
Data considerations
– using the existing data landscape to:
Detail the degree of data completeness;
Identify and remediate any gaps to consolidate and standardise information management.
