A consortium of Gamuda Australia and Laing O'Rourke has been awarded the contract to commence tunnelling on the Sydney Metro West project.
The Gamuda Australia Laing O'Rourke Consortium is seeking a Data Analyst to support our Digital Engineering Manager in driving digital transformation within the organisation.
In this role, you will utilise your expertise in Autodesk ACC software, data analytics, and engineering processes to streamline operations, enhance decision-making and promote innovation across departments and projects.
Key Responsibilities:Digital Engineering Implementation: Coordinate and implement Digital Engineering (DE) initiatives: Utilize Autodesk ACC software to execute DE initiatives effectively.
Evaluate and integrate new software solutions: Assess and incorporate software solutions for Common Data Environment (CDE), Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), Project Management, Field Management, and Analytics.
Develop and maintain comprehensive DE documentation and standards: Ensure documentation and standards adhere to ISO compliance.Data Analytics and Reporting: Implement and maintain Power BI dashboards: Create and manage dashboards to monitor project progress, resource utilisation, and key performance indicators.
Develop ETL processes: Design and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse.
Analyse data: Examine data to identify trends, optimise workflows, and support strategic decision-making.Team Collaboration and Training: Provide technical guidance and training to existing employees and new hires on DE tools and processes.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful DE implementation.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in DE technology and analytics.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.2+ years of experience in engineering or data analytics.Proven experience with Autodesk ACC software suite and Power BI.Strong understanding of CDE, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Experience with GIS, Construction Field Mobile Apps, and EDMS.Familiarity with ISO standards and documentation.About the Project:Construction includes the delivery of 9 kilometres of twin, metro rail tunnels between Westmead and Sydney Olympic Park; excavation of new station boxes at Westmead and Parramatta; earthworks, utilities and connecting tunnels for a Maintenance and Stabling Facility at Clyde; a precast concrete segment factory at Eastern Creek; and a services facility, crossover structure and excavation to support tunnelling operations at Rosehill.
