Apply now Job no: 571833 Work type: Full time temp Location: Corporate Services - QLD Metropolitan, Corporate Services - VIC Metropolitan, Corporate Services - WA, Corporate Services - NSW Metropolitan Categories: Information Technology Do you have a genuine passion for data and improving healthcare?Ramsay's Data Insights is growing and looking for exceptional people to join our team.Be part of a culture-led, caring organisationEnjoy flexibility – hybrid working supportedBased in Sydney or Melbourne preferred, however open to candidates in Brisbane and PerthFull-time, two years fixed termThe OpportunityThe Data and Insights Department at Ramsay Health Care enables the effective use of data and insights to improve patient services and experience, clinical outcomes and organisational performance.We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Data Analysts to join our team on a 2-year, full-time basis.The Data Analyst is a key role within the organisation, responsible for supporting a team in delivering data-driven solutions and insights to support various operational or strategic decision-makers.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestigate, manipulate, process, and analyse large, complex data sets.Model data for use in Business Intelligence (BI) tools and create visualisations that tell compelling stories.Build and maintain data pipelines in the BI layer.Provide discrete analytics-derived insights to organisational stakeholders using Ramsay Health Care and other data as required.Support the creation of new healthcare advanced analytics assets with fundamental data discovery, analysis, insights creation and other services as required.Collaborate with stakeholders in designing, building, and ensuring quality of data products to improve outcomes.Essential Skills and ExperienceTertiary qualifications in business, statistics, computer science, actuarial studies, data science, or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years' experience in data analytics and BI development.Proven ability to conduct data investigations, collect, cleanse, and merge data sets.Proficient in developing and producing dashboards and data visualizations.Advanced skills in SQL.Experience with end-to-end development in PowerBI, including data modelling (e.g. DAX, Fabric, and/or PowerQuery).Demonstrated capability in communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, test prototypes, and share results.Strong track record in producing descriptive and diagnostic analytics.Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking.Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Adaptable to changing requirements and priorities.Ability to handle uncertainty and focus on outcomes.Desirable skills, though not essential:Experience with healthcare data and/or working in a healthcare organisation.Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery and / or Databricks.Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. GIT or similar).Experience working with Agile methodologies and project management.Experience or understanding of UX principles and practices.Post graduate degree in computer science, data science, statistics, business or equivalent.Understanding of data lifecycle including but not limited to data ingestion, Extract-Transform-Load, data storage & joining, management of data projects, and data quality / integrity checks.Understanding of predictive and prescriptive analytics, data science, Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) models.What other benefits do we offer?Professional Advancement:Recognition and Professional Development.
