What You'll Do:We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to support our commercial teams in Australia, within the broader Pacific region. As part of our APAC Analytics team, your role will be pivotal in harnessing our extensive shopper and retailer data, combined with a deep understanding of performance marketing and retail media technology, to provide actionable insights and recommendations to some of the largest retailers and brands in Australia. In this role, you'll have privileged access to one of the world's largest datasets, alongside the computational power required to deliver insights into shopper behavior, market trends, and product performance that can't be found anywhere else. The scope of this role involves technically rigorous work, including the use of leading-edge data analysis technologies and daily interaction with other cross-functional business units and external clients.
Performance Optimization: Analyze complex data from multiple sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of campaign and retailer performance, detect root causes of issues, identify growth opportunities, and generate innovative and impactful insights for our clients.
Strategic Client Support: Collaborate closely with the commercial and technical teams to support and cultivate deep strategic relationships with clients, guiding their strategies and aligning with their long-term goals.
Reporting Tools and Metrics: Develop and scale reports and metrics that provide actionable insights to various teams across the organization, including strategic leadership teams.
Testing: Design, monitor, and analyze A/B tests to gain deeper insights into how our products perform for our clients.
Collaborative Projects: Collaborate on ad hoc projects with different teams (Commercial, Operations, Product, R&D) from different regions, automate analyses on a global scale, enhance internal processes, streamline workflows, and disseminate knowledge throughout the company.
Expertise Development: Develop a deep understanding of the online marketing ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on the retail media sector, while also providing support to our broader performance marketing business.
Australia Representation: Represent Australia within the broader APAC Analytics community, ensuring that the country's insights and learnings are effectively shared across the APAC region.
Who You Are:Your work experience: 3+ years in an analytical role in Technology, Consulting, with a good understanding of internet advertising technologies (cookies, DSP, SSP, RTB, etc.).
Your academic background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative or business discipline, with a primary emphasis on Analytics (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and related areas).
Your Analytics skills: Comprehensive grasp of relational databases, data architecture/governance, and the practical application of statistical concepts, especially within a testing context.
Your technical skills: Hands-on experience in working with databases, programming experience, and proficiency in SQL and Python. Bonus point if you have experience in using technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Vertica, Tableau.
Your business skills: Client-focused, able to create and convey clear messages and straightforward recommendations, with experience in discussing with clients.
Your personality: Versatile, autonomous, able to multi-task and prioritize; enjoy interacting and collaborating with people from various backgrounds, mindsets, and cultures.
