Database Development & Administration (Information & Communication Technology) As one of the world's leading grains research organisations, the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) plays an integral role in driving research outcomes and innovations that directly benefit the Australian grain industry.
We are seeking a Data Admin Officer to join our Canberra office. This exciting new role is responsible for managing and analysing GRDC's data assets, providing data-driven insights to support its strategic objectives and internal and external stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities: Support the accessibility, retrievability, security, quality, retention, and ethical handling of specific subsets of data. Assess the integrity of data from multiple sources. Assist in the development and update of Power-BI dashboards and reports to support business intelligence and decision making. Manipulate specific data from information services to satisfy defined information needs. Document and communicate data requirements, specifications, and standards to providers. Ensure a high level of oversight and management of administrative deliverables. Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in data science, information systems, computer science, or related field or equivalent. +2 years of experience in data administration, data management, or data analysis. Familiar with data modelling, data warehousing, and data quality tools and techniques. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Strong data literacy and analytical skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and re-prioritise as required. Ability to work autonomously. Previous experience in positively managing client issues/relationships. Excellent attention to detail. Mandatory Requirements: Must be prepared to travel as and when required. Must be willing to undergo all pre-employment medical checks.
