What Your Day Will Look Like….
In this role, you'll start your day by reviewing patient cases and prioritizing care plans for older patients in both inpatient and community settings. Your clinical responsibilities will involve providing psychiatric assessments, leading multidisciplinary meetings, and ensuring that care plans are delivered in line with best practice guidelines. You'll work closely with a range of professionals, including nurses, social workers, and allied health staff, collaborating to provide holistic care. Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to engage in teaching and supervision, sharing your expertise with medical students, junior doctors, and mental health trainees. You'll also be involved in clinical governance, ensuring high standards are maintained by conducting audits and reviewing patient outcomes. As you go about your day, you'll make a tangible impact on your patients' recovery journeys while fostering a supportive, learning-focused environment for both colleagues and trainees.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $184,257 (L18) up to $230,175 (L27) comprising salary rates between $100.78 (L18) and $127.77 p.h. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
