The Role Please note this role is permanently based in Tasmania.
The Dam Infrastructure Manager will lead a team of engineers to ensure the safety, maintenance, and compliance of TasWater's dam infrastructure, in line with regulatory standards and best practices.
This role involves overseeing dam safety plans, managing capital projects, and providing strategic guidance on infrastructure upgrades while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the Dam Infrastructure team in delivering dam management tools and systems for dam safety, maintenance, and emergency management.
Ensure compliance with Tasmanian Dam Safety Legislation and ANCOLD Guidelines in all dam safety projects and reporting.
Manage the planning, design, and delivery of dam-related projects, including upgrades and new dam construction.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external consultants/contractors to ensure effective delivery of dam safety and capital projects.
Provide strategic and technical guidance on dam infrastructure and ensure compliance with safety standards, risk management, and budgetary constraints.
What we're looking for To be successful in the role we're ideally looking for the following experience: Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with specific knowledge of dam infrastructure and safety practices.
Proven experience in managing teams and delivering successful outcomes in dam safety or similar infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and industry standards, with advisory and negotiation skills.
High-level project management skills with experience in managing project lifecycles, cost, scope, and time.

The Details This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport, Tasmania and attracts a salary of circa $190,000 (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
