Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Dam Constructability Lead to join our Brisbane-based Dams Team. As a senior member of the Business Group, your primary role would be to provide leadership in constructability input to dams engineering and other heavy civil infrastructure projects. You will leverage your extensive experience in construction of dams and integrate this into design and construction projects undertaken by the Business Group.
Working with a flexible, welcoming and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Developing and leveraging internal and external relationships.
Utilising knowledge of dam construction techniques and experience with scheduling of works, particularly conventional concrete gravity and RCC dam.
Working collaboratively with the GHD team as well as contractor and client teams. This may take the form of a collaborative contracting arrangement such as an Alliance.
Undertaking site-based work and/or working from a client project office where required.
What you will bring to the team:
Minimum Bachelor degree qualifications in civil engineering or related discipline as appropriate.
Professional Engineering Registration, e.g. CPEng, MICE or equivalent.
Have attained or eligible to attain Professional Engineering Registration in Queensland, Australia (RPEQ – Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland).
Proven experience in construction roles for Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) and Conventional Concrete (CVC) dams.
Typically, minimum 20 years post-graduate experience in dam construction.
