The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0.
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

Site engineers ensure that engineering designs are being followed.
Qualifications: Relevant Tertiary Qualification – Bachelor's Degree in EngineeringWhite CardExperience: Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferredExperience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects worksExperience in technical aspects of site projects, including machinery and equipmentExperience in civil and structural technical engineeringExperience in interpreting technical schedules and documentationExperience in Contract comprehensionRequired Competencies: Process oriented, able to analyse complex issuesStrong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levelsSound interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaborativelyAbility to work to deadlines and targets and prioritise tasks under pressureStrong Initiative and proactive natureExceptional written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed time management skillsHigh attention to detailCompetent and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word.Ability to learn and use different software systems such as E7Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Understanding, managing safety guidelines, drawings, specifications, methodologies, procedures, risk assessments, inspection and test plan, SWMS, Plans, etc.
and coordinating with front line team to ensure implementation on site; if there is an issue, further communication with senior management.Good communication & interpersonal skills, flexible and adaptable.Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressureInspecting equipment and technologies (Computerized drilling, Pressure grouting) and communicate with related teams for solutions if requiredCommunicate with clients and other support teams to determine needs and explain complex issuesDiagnose construction or machinery problems; communicate with senior management for further solutions.Coordination with frontline team to ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipmentMonitoring, coordination and assist frontline team for onsite work activities, issuesComplies with FGJV WHS and quality policy and procedures as amended from time to timeAlways takes personal accountability for own safety and being aware of the impact of actions on the safety of othersUndertakes works in a manner that is consistent with the overall Project goals and meets the timeframes specified in the Project scheduleFGJV Personnel must comply with the provisions under the Workplace Relations Management Plan and the National Code and Guidelines to ensure onsite behaviours are consistent with our industrial relations obligationsBuilds and maintains an appropriate relationship with relevant Client and Subcontractors representatives and stakeholdersPrepare Daily progress report on a shift basis, record all resources, if any delay.
Communicate with senior management about issues, delays.Responsible & coordinate with front line team for drilling & blasting works including drilling, charging, blast clearance and re-entry, rock support works.
Also support monitoring team for setup monitoring instruments & continue records.Daily monitoring of Dust, Gas, Air readings and record on systemResponsible to fill all the documents related to Inspection and test plan, maintain & submit all the records up to date and further coordinate with Quality control to timely submit to client.Understanding & familiar with computerized drilling, capable to prepare & record drilling records.Understand Temporary work design and ensure frontline team follows up according to thatArrange inspections on site as per ITP and ensure work is conducted on site as per approved specifications, drawings, methodologies, SWMS, etc.These positions are in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures which need to be considered before applying for these roles.
