You will carry outDaily Pre-Journey Inspection to ensure Truck is maintained and presented in aroadworthy condition at all times, advising supervisor of any defects requiringimmediate action Complywith all Elgas policies and procedures as well as procedures for the safehandling of LPG when delivering and loading through demonstration of full(Linde Delivery) DEL compliance Further you will ensuretruck is loaded and unloaded at beginning and end of daily shifts asrequired Deliverto customer installations, connecting cylinders via installation pigtailsensuring all connections are thoroughly leak tested to ensure after firstassessing that the customer installation and site access are compliant and safeto deliver LPG cylinders into Correctloading of LPG cylinder in accordance with Load Restraint Guidelines is required in this role, and to ensurethat all cylinder barcodes are scanned into the handheld for all deliveriesand/or cylinder collections. Complywith all national legislative requirements for Driving Hours, LogbookCompliance, and fatigue management requirements You must be safetyconscious and abide by all regulations associated with the position and beproactive with safety - in the event of an accident/incident or near miss,correct reporting and follow up procedures are to be adhered to Additionally you will maintaina professional and courteous manner to Elgas staff and customers and reportpotential new customers and or customer requirements to salesrepresentative / management Report totransport supervisor any missed deliveries and sequencing or routing abnormalities You will completework as directed - including weekend work at peak times when required Allpaperwork and hand held computer processing to be completed accurately and in atimely manne Completeend of day route status including missed deliveries and scheduling issues to bereported on conclusion of daily route What makes you great Class 2Drivers License with clean driving record Minimum Three years' relevantdriver experience of license class DangerousGoods License and LPG Handlers certification Otherlicenses etc. as required for specific role Ability in handling, rolling,pivoting, transporting LPG cylinders safely either by hand or with a handtruck. You will connectand leak test LPG cylinders to ensure customer gas supply is maintained Identifyunsafe installations and report back to Manager / Supervisor Medicallyfit, able to access and egress vehicle cabin 20-30 times per shift (peakperiods) and deemed fit per pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcoholtest – negative result •Understanding and knowledge of Elgas Drivers Manual You have the abilityto use current technology and accurate completion of manifests, end of dayprocesses etc Completion of pre-trip vehicle inspections and management oftruck presentation is required in this role, and th completionof all training as required Sufficient numerical,written and verbal literacy to perform role Why you will love working with us At Linde we identify ourselves with our products – either working for the technical or medical gases business.
