Children, Youth & Family Services (CYF) is a leading Child Safety provider throughout QLD. CYF team members play a vital role in ensuring that children and young people are offered a safe and stable environment to reach their goals.About this opportunity:The CYF Practice Lead will provide strategic and outcomes-focused advice that supports the delivery of critical services and improves the lives of the most vulnerable children, youth and families. This position will drive excellence and inform best practice throughout the CYF programs.Key responsibilities of this role:Guide the CYF leadership team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture for staff and service users.Ensure all CYF programs comply with legislative, funding, and regulatory requirements while adhering to best practices.Advocate for client issues to influence federal and state government agenda, providing timely advice on Child Protection matters and related services.Develop and implement effective supervision and communication strategies to support teams in managing change, accountability, and staff awareness.Oversee critical incident management, reporting breaches of care standards and legislative requirements to appropriate managers.Create, monitor, and review individual safety and crisis management plans for children and young people, along with program safety plans as necessary.Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance services, policies, and systems through effective change strategies.To succeed in this role you will have:Tertiary degree in Human Services or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar position in the industry.Comprehensive understanding of the Human Services sector, particularly contemporary child protection and family issues.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, agencies, specialists, families, and community members.Strong research and analytical abilities to identify interrelationships and provide evidence-based recommendations.Proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate and address issues, selecting optimal solutions from diverse options.Extensive knowledge of quality assurance and risk management practices in children's services.Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective presentations, negotiations, mediations, and conflict resolution.Licensed Care Approval (LCS2) required.Valid Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening.Valid driver's license required.What We Offer:A dynamic and supportive work environment committed to professional growth and development.Competitive salary package.The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in our community.Collaboration with a dedicated team passionate about youth services and making a difference.How to Apply:
