About this role As a Cyber Security Specialist at Grant Thornton Australia, you will help safeguard our computer networks and systems and optimise the security posture of our environment. Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security, you will be based in Melbourne or Brisbane within the Digital team, which supports the business's growth ambitions and protects its digital assets.
Key responsibilities Monitor and respond to cyber security tickets and alerts, providing remediation guidance and regular reports to the Head of Cyber Security.Lead vulnerability assessments, analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities, develop remediation plans, and update the vulnerability management program.Implement and manage advanced threat protection solutions, respond to security alerts and incidents, conduct threat intelligence analysis, and maintain incident response plans.Support internal information security compliance activities including audits, evidence gathering, and assessment periods.Perform regular penetration testing, document findings, provide recommendations, and collaborate with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.Support the Cloud Security Specialist in conducting technical security assessments of cloud environments and infrastructure and implement security controls and best practices for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.Skills & experience A broad understanding of firewalls, proxies, and network topology management.Experience with security tools such as SIEM|XDR, DLP, SSE, CASB, EDR and Vulnerability Management.Familiarity with Frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, MITRE, OWASP, Essential 8 & DevSecOps practices and toolsFoundational understanding of programming and scripting languages, including python, PowerShell for automation.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.If you're interested in this role but don't feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.
