Job Description
Purpose of your role
The newly created Cyber Security Officer role will be an integral member of the Cyber Security team at OFX, driving and leading change within the team, and working across a wide range of projects and platforms. You will be responsible for driving and leading the development and implementation of cyber security initiatives, driving roadmaps and solutions across the business. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and operational leadership.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Be responsible for driving Cyber Security strategy acting as a product lead for security initiatives while also being deeply involved in hands-on execution.
Ensure that security deliverables align security strategic objectives, cyber and technology standards and guidelines.
Address regulatory and compliance requirements related to Cyber Security
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, standards, and best practices
Lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of security controls and technologies
Managing security incidents and coordinating incident response activities
Address business and regulatory requests around security responses
Conduct third party security assessment reviews
As business enabler work for new product, services and business onboarding
Uplift and fine tune cyber solutions to meet organizational needs
Oversee cyber security training and awareness initiatives/programs
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in information security, computer science, or related discipline
Extensive experience in formulating, developing, and reviewing cyber security, risk, compliance and governance policies.
Industry certification and relevant cyber security experience (CISSP, CISM, SSCP, GIAC)
Proven track record of accomplishment in security policy and framework implementation
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience as SME for Information Security across the business (including external vendors) to ensure consistent and high-quality IT Security practices and information security management aligned with business objectives.
Deep understanding of cyber security principles, frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Capable of developing security risk management frameworks, ensuring compliance, and maturing OFX's security position in line with ISO, NIST, and any other industry standards.
