Cyber Security Engineer Sydney 6-Month Contract Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain network security guardrails measures to protect against unauthorised access, data breaches, and other cyber threats. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and security breaches, promptly responding to incidents and implementing corrective actions. Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in network infrastructure. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into network architecture and infrastructure projects. Implement and manage guardrails, ensuring that network configurations adhere to security policies and guidelines. Stay up to date with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills to effectively address evolving challenges. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in network security engineering in complex or large scale networks. Experience in implementing and managing guardrails to enforce security policies and configurations. Expertise with CISCO Network technologies Experience in implementing public cloud network policies. (Azure or AWS) In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security technologies. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
