What you will do
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Technology, your day to day will involve:
Hunting for, detecting and responding to cyber threats and incidents across Athena's internal and externally facing environments.
Liaising with externally operated Security Operations Centre.
Providing security guidance to internal technology and business functions to ensure our business is conducted safely while moving at speed.
Helping to shape the roadmap.
Building tools and processes to make Athena safer (and your life easier!).
What will help you succeed
At least 5 years work experience in a Security/Operational Security role.
Being a self-starter, and not one to walk away from a problem or a challenge.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to adapt your message based on the audience or desired outcome.
Experience with cloud infrastructure security. Familiar with AWS services and building blocks, and have built in AWS as part of your day job.
Experience monitoring, hunting for and responding to cyber threats within internal and externally facing environments.
An understanding of Application Security and secure coding practices, such as familiarity with OWASP Top 10, and common CWE's associated with each category.
Reasonable scripting skills (e.g. Python); you're not necessarily a developer, but can write code to make your life easier.
Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
