Job Description As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will understand the demands of the position.
Working closely with the Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will be a champion of our vision and values, support team members, and deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
The Cyber Security Engineer will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented.
They will be experienced working on foundational and emerging cyber security technologies in business environments.
This role is expected to achieve KPIs set by the Technical Services Manager and Senior Cyber Security Engineer, action and remediate assigned incidents, and work on audit projects and remediation projects.
Desired Skills and Experience Minimum 3+ years in a customer service role.
Minimum 2+ years experience in IT or cyber security.
Basic understanding of current key business technologies and concepts.
Demonstrate strong technical security knowledge.
Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, Power Point, and any other relevant tools within reason.
Knowledge/experience in Microsoft 365, Azure Security Centre, Azure, and/or AWS and relevant security best practices on these platforms.
3+ years in a similar role within a traditional Managed Services Provider.
Strong understanding of current key business technologies and concepts, reinforced by a previous customer or referee.
Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining SIEM tools such as Splunk, Azure Sentinel, and vulnerability management tools such as Tenable and Nessus.
Windows support and troubleshooting experience – Windows 7 to 11.
Networking fundamentals knowledge; CCNA or equivalent knowledge preferred.
Windows Server management (2008 to 2022).
