Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary:
As an experienced Cyber Security Engineer, you will be working for leading private company to review, advise and improve client systems and adoption of new technologies. Drawing on your vast experience with the Microsoft suite, security frameworks and ISM principals, you will be responsible for building a safe cyber environment for federal government and defence clients.

The company you will be working for, is an Australia wide, private company who specialises in professional services, technical advisory and managed services. Maintaining a professional working environment while still adding a mix of enjoyment.

What will you be doing?
Conduct reviews of client's environments and be a trusted advisor in secure configuration documenting recommendations.
Provide advice, guidance and configure a variety of security specific and related systems with support from the wider team.
Provide security focussed input into pre-sales and design of solutions.
Conduct regular updates with our clients to ensure smooth adoption of our technologies and security practices, whilst also identifying further consulting, solutions and services opportunities.
Provide guidance and recommendations for development of security practice.
Work closely with the wider team to deliver quality outcomes for our clients.
Utilise vendor relationships to assist with design, configuration and remediation activities based on best practices

Skills and experience required to succeed in this role?
Government, industry and regulatory compliance standards
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work on tight deadlines
Willingness to learn new technology and get out of your comfort zone
Ability to work in a team environment

Clearance required?
NV1 Clearance or above.
