About the role The Cyber Business Analyst provides analysis and advice for the Cyber Program solutions, systems and process change across the business. This includes investigation of potential changes, scope and provision of advice with regards to return on investment. With a business analysis focus, this role will be responsible for defining business requirements, functional requirements, preparation and performance of test plans.
With a project management focus, the role is also responsible for contributing to concept papers, business cases, preparation and management of project plans, budgets, timeframes, risks and issues from project inception through to implementation using industry standard project management methodologies. The incumbent must work closely with Technology and Operation and business team SME's to develop business and functional requirements documentation. They will develop knowledge and awareness of governance across the business; and support processes for the effective management of change requirements, testing and change management.
Translate requirements into clear and measurable outcomes which are aligned to the project governance objectives to technology teams (vendors and internal resources)
Provide analysis and advice for business solutions, systems and process change across the business
Define business requirements, functional requirements, preparation and performance of test plans.
Organising and facilitating workshops to identify, analyse, interpret and document business functional and non-functional requirements using standards templates and established methodologies
Working with project sponsors, owners and project managers to develop robust and quality business cases, including cost and benefits estimation and quantification
Developing, conducting, monitoring and documenting test plan, cases and outcomes using organisational testing tools and processes
Communicating progress and status using standard tools, templates and practices
Enhancing business analysis capabilities across the business through mentoring, training and enhancing templates, tools and processes
Manage business and customer expectations on project lifecycle, deliverables and ensure timeframes are met
Influence, collaborate and build consensus with stakeholders to arrive at decisions
Adhere to the compliance obligations relevant to your position; perform your duties in an ethical, lawful and safe manner; undertake training as directed by the Compliance Leader; report and escalate compliance concerns, issues and failures; and disclose potential conflicts of interest.
Qualifications we would love to see in our Quality and Control Leader 5+ years experience in the financial services, preferably insurance with strong knowledge of and responsibility for related project processes.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Visio or other Business Process Mapping tool and Jira/Confluence
Knowledge of risk frameworks and embedding practices
Demonstrated ability to perform in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment and ability to work independently under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively with an ability to influence peers and managers
High level of personal integrity to maintain strict confidentiality on issues of a sensitive nature
Strong verbal and written communication with an ability to present complex information in a simple way
Critical thinking and analytical skills
