ABOUT THE ROLE The Cyber Business Analyst will join our client from the Federal Government sector with their Cyber Program's MACH8 Project, aimed at improving the Essential 8 (E8) Maturity Level through controls like Application Control and Macro Settings.
The role needs a senior analyst with business and technical analysis skills, experience in agile project delivery, and knowledge of Australian Federal Government cyber security policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Requirement Definition and Analysis: Turn E8 controls into requirements and user stories.
Prioritize based on risk reduction and benefits.
Manage backlog items and solve issues.
Gap Analysis and Gap Closure: Identify and address E8 compliance gaps.
Define and implement plans to close gaps.
Work with service delivery teams.
Project Delivery: Design business systems and solutions.
Analyze data and make recommendations.
Mentor team members and manage stakeholder relationships.
Prioritize work in line with planning processes.
Operational Readiness: Identify process changes for E8 compliance.
Create procedures for affected teams.
Communication and Coordination: Work with and support other analysts.
Communicate effectively and facilitate workshops.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE Australian citizen with an AGSVA security clearance (minimum baseline).
Experience: Delivering E8 ISM controls in various projects or programs.
Knowledge: Understanding of Federal Government IT and multi-vendor environments.
Desirable Skills: Experience with project management and team delivery.
Communication: Strong collaboration with business units and ICT service providers.
Based in Canberra, or willingness to relocate or travel for the role.
